Horse Heroes Alberta Rescue Association is not your typical horse rescue. What we are is a community and network of PRO-horse enthusiasts who have united to fill a need.

We want what's best for the horses at all times. 

This includes but is not limited to, rehabbing the unhealthy, rehoming the homeless, and compassionately making end of life decisions -- if needed. 

The horses' quality of life is always first and foremost with us, and we promise to always put the horse first.

Our not for profit network consists of like minded individuals working together to crowdfund and help equines in crisis. 

The majority of our intakes are slaughter saves, with a few being owner surrenders. We have connections across western Canada, which has helped to save hundreds of horses who had no other options. 

Since early 2019 we have saved over 1200 horses from the slaughter pipeline.

The HHA network is committed to helping horses get a second chance, and we strive to educate owners that horses are so much more than just rideable.
